Week 2: For Such a Time as This

exodusoutreach

Theme: "For Such a Time as This"

Scripture: Esther 4:14 "For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?"

Reflection: The story of Esther reminds us of the profound truth that God places us in specific times and situations for a reason. Esther’s journey to becoming queen was no coincidence; it was part of a divine plan to save her people. Yet, stepping into her purpose required courage, faith, and a willingness to act despite the risks.

We may not wear crowns or sit on thrones, but like Esther, we are called to recognize the significance of the moment we are in. God has positioned each of us uniquely to make an impact where we are. The question is: will we step out in faith?

This week, reflect on the opportunities God has placed before you. Ask Him for the courage to embrace your calling and trust that He has equipped you for the task at hand.

Journaling Prompts:

  1. What opportunities or challenges are you facing right now that might be part of God’s purpose for you?

  2. How can you trust God more fully to equip you for the tasks He has called you to?

  3. Reflect on a time when stepping out in faith led to unexpected blessings. What did you learn from that experience?

Daily Reflection Plan:

  • Day 5 (Jan 5): Meditate on Esther 4:14. Reflect on how God’s timing has played a role in your life.

  • Day 6 (Jan 6): Identify one area where you feel called to act but have hesitated. Write about what holds you back.

  • Day 7 (Jan 7): Commit to a specific action step in faith this week, no matter how small. Write a prayer asking for God’s guidance and courage.

  • Day 8 (Jan 8): Reflect on how it feels to trust God’s purpose for your life. Write a gratitude prayer for the opportunities He has given you.

  • Day 9 (Jan 9): Seek out someone you trust and share what you feel called to do. Ask for their encouragement and prayers.

  • Day 10 (Jan 10): Take another step in acting on God’s purpose for you. Reflect on what you are learning through this process.

  • Day 11 (Jan 11): Spend time in prayer and review your week. What did you accomplish in faith, and where do you feel God leading you next?

Prayer for the Week: Lord, thank You for placing me where I am for a reason. Help me to trust Your timing and step into my calling with faith and courage. Equip me to serve You and fulfill the purpose You have for my life. Amen.
